How to Play

Click Start Shift to begin. Each round puts a live upset on the panel and gives no diagnosis. A batch sheet and a short note are all you get. Click Go to Panel to see the live gauge and two control stations beside the vessel.

Click either control station to flip its state (e.g. a valve between OPEN/CLOSED, a cooling source between MAIN CW/CHILLED). The gauge reading updates straight away. Once the reading settles in the target range the round locks in by itself. There is no "submit" button.

Scoring

Each round starts at 100 points. Every click beyond your first two costs 15 points, and passing through a dangerous line-up along the way costs 25 more (points never drop below 10 for a solved round). Solve a round in two clicks or fewer to build a streak, shown as a 🔥 multiplier.

After 6 rounds you'll see a shift summary with a total score, a rank (Trainee Operator, Field Operator, Senior Operator, or Shift-in-Charge), and badges for a clean shift (no dangerous excursions), minimum moves, a streak of 3+, and zero near-misses.

The scenario pool currently covers 22 different upsets across reactors, filtration, centrifuges, pumps, heat exchangers, drying, crystallization, scrubbing, and plant utilities (nitrogen, chilled water, instrument air, dust collection). Each shift draws 6 at random, so replaying gives different rounds.
