How to draw a PFD

  1. Start. Pick a blank sheet or a ready setup. Templates bring only the process lines; utilities stay on the P&ID.
  2. Place equipment from the panel on the left, then press Connect and click two items to join them with a stream.
  3. Fill in the streams. Click a line to enter its fluid, mass flow, phase, temperature and pressure. The stream table under the drawing updates as you type.
  4. Download the diagram with its stream table as an image.

A PFD shows what the process does: the main equipment, the process streams and their flows. The P&ID tool adds the valves, instruments and utility lines.
